Our Artisanal Process
Finding the right manufacturer was as important to us as the designing the right product. It was a no brainer that we would work with local artisans based out of India who had years of knowledge and experience and had a base setup to source the right raw materials.
Traditionally, Kolhapuri Chappals have always been produced and tanned from animal skin. However, our brand values of respecting our environment and its natural habitat have allowed us to explore the option of using alternate forms of leather.
Vegan leather also known as Faux leather is made using various materials when opposed to using animal skin.
This type of leather is also produces using much fewer resources than real leather and can be considered as one of the best alternatives to leather.
What sets us apart:
-
Rather than fast fashion, we embrace the concept of slow fashion We manufacture footwear in small batches using raw materials from small producers thus eliminating mass production.
-
Every single footwear we make is handcrafted using traditional shoe manufacturing methods allowing no two products to ever look the same.
-
Because they are not machine manufactured, they are more durable and long lasting.
